A black and white picture of “Ahmed Shah Qajar” can be seen next to “Prince Albert” in London. This image was recorded in 1919, which shows a moment of diplomatic relations between Iran and Britain during the last years of Qajar rule.
Ahmad Shah Qajar was the eighth and last king of the Qajar dynasty and the son of Muhammad Ali Shah. He cannot be called absolutely “unpopular”; But Ahmad Shah was a weak and ineffective king in a very turbulent period. During this period, Iran was involved in World War I and occupation by Russia and England.
After reigning for about 16 years, Ahmad Shah was removed from the kingdom by the approval of the National Council and the Qajar era came to an end.
