Over time, the design of the building of Oman Museum has been done in such a way that it is in harmony with the nature of Oman. 130,000 square meters of Omani stone have been used to build this building; Stones that help keep the interior of the museum cool. This museum is also known as an environment-friendly museum; One of the reasons for this issue is the use of waste stones in the garden of the museum.

Thanks to the clever design of the Oman Museum building over time, direct sunlight does not enter the building. For lighting the interior of the building, artificial light is used in a principled and purposeful manner. The exterior of the museum looks like a triangular sail. The exterior of the building has attractive lighting and therefore it becomes very spectacular at night. The interior of the museum is also beautifully lit with built-in lights. There are square holes in the roof of this building that allow natural light to enter.
