Seljuk Silver Astralab; The rare masterpiece of astronomy in ancient Iran

It is a flat -panel, silver -packed astrology, a handwriting plate and a camera. The components of the north are “mam or cell”, “muscle”, “network or spider”, “queue or queue”, “pole”, “index” and pole clamp that each has its own characteristics.

Behind the cell is the names of cities such as Balkh, Samarkand, Neyshabur, Jorjan, Fars, Isfahan, Basra, Ray, Qazvin Hamedan and Baghdad. On the lower half of the cellar is the name of the manufacturer and the date of construction in the letters of Abjad: the craft of Muhammad ibn Hamed al -Isfahani in the Sunnah (۱۳۹۵)

Made of silver rice, this astrology weighs 5 grams and is 2 cm in diameter and a total height of 2 cm from the pendant, an example of the astronomical tools of the middle period of Islamic civilization.
