After the war, many embassies were closed and resumed their activity after a limited ceasefire. As a result, a large number of Iranian citizens waiting for a study visa or Schengen were confused and long delays. This has led some applicants to form rallies in front of the German Embassy.
On the fourth day of protests against the German Embassy in Tehran, hundreds of scholarship applicants criticized their cancellation after months of waiting for the removal time and the embassy’s action to their earlier promises.
In a video, referring to the fourth day of the protests on October 5, we announced that we had gathered hundreds of German scholarship applicants in front of the German Consulate in Tehran. He explained:
Our appointments have been eliminated by the embassy after more than six months of waiting and we should tell us from the beginning, while the embassy itself had previously announced that all the shifts will be reviewed before June 6; But despite this promise, they canceled all the turns and did not even do it. We paid for the validity of these turns of university and dormitory, resigned from our own jobs, and we and our families have been put in severe financial pressure. Our admission is on the verge of expiration, and the German Embassy has to return between March 1 and June 6.
The German Embassy reported in a statement published on its Instagram account that the case was transferred to the new system and increased requests for reviews. However, until a solution is provided to restore canceled shifts, there is a possibility of continuing dissatisfaction and rallies.
