The Bazaar Mosque at the heart of Tehran is one of the oldest religious monuments in the city; A mysterious history and a multi -period architecture that is long -standing and parts of it goes back to the Al -Bouwie period. The mosque is located on the south side of the Tehran bazaar, near June 15th and the Great Bazaar.
The composition of the mosque’s building has been formed over the years; Additions have been added in the Safavid, Qajar and contemporary periods. One of the old parts of the mosque is the large or under the dome, known as the “Old Mosque” and is attributed to it to 6.5 years ago.
The mosque of the bazaar is expanded in an atmosphere of about 2.5 square meters and has seven bedrooms. The different parts of the mosque are diverse and beautiful in terms of architectural and decorative style, from Islamic tiles and arches to different historical periods.
Today, the mosque of Tehran Bazaar is registered as a national work and is one of the most important historical and religious points in the old context of the city. (Arya Heritage)
