Despite the celebration of the UNESCO Intangible Heritage List, strictures to celebrate this celebration in Iran continue.
The celebration of the century will be held on Wednesday, February 10, in provinces such as Tehran, Kerman, Yazd and Khorasan with the participation of the Zoroastrian community.
Two years after the Iranian celebration of Iran’s celebration in UNESCO, officials at the Zoroastrian Associations in Tehran and Kerman told ISNA that the celebration will be held only with the presence of Zoroastrians. The follow -up to Yazd also suggests that the celebration of the century in the province is similar to Tehran and Kerman.
Sirus Nikbakht, president of the Kerman Zoroastrian Association, said about how to hold a “century” in the province:
This year, the ceremony will be held in a semi -private basis on Wednesday, February 23, at the Kerman Fire Temple, with the ceremony starting from 2 and at around 9:30 pm. Due to space constraints, we have limited the number of invitees. The Zoroastrians themselves have been invited more. Of course, there will be a limited number of officials at the ceremony. About the capacity of the ceremony is about 4 people.
Nikbakht responded to the question of whether people can be out of the ceremony? Said.
No. It should be controlled that there is no problem. At the ceremony itself, it is better to make a mask, we need to make sure that people are not sick or hygienic; Because recently the cold virus has increased and we don’t want to happen.
Mehratash Mehruziad, head of Tehran’s Zoroastrian Youth Organization, told ISNA about the celebration of the century in Tehran:
The celebration is held in Tehran only in one of our fireplaces, 2 kilometers from Karaj Road and on the 10th of February. We have invited the guests at 9pm and the program will officially start at 9:30 pm. This limited ceremony is only for their Zoroastrian colleagues and is not open to the public. As a result, it is not possible to attend tourism tours and advertising groups. The capacity of the location is significant, and in recent years there have been about 1,000 to two thousand people.
Alireza Hassanzadeh, the head of the Institute of Anthropology, who discussed the narrative and historical status of the century at a meeting on Sunday, February 7, announced the celebration in the city of Toos in Khorasan Razavi, saying the ceremony was organized by the Ferdowsi Association and with a lecture by Professor. Iran Doust, Dr. Alireza Gholamati. In response to the follow -up, Yazd province is also said that the celebration of the century will be held in Yazd with the presence of Zoroastrian priests.
