The Silk ancient site is one of the oldest civilization centers in central Iran, dating back to 8,000 years ago. This ancient hill is located in Fin Kashan neighborhood and contains ruins of ancient buildings and amazing ziggurats. The first excavations in this area took place in 1317, and since then, Silk Hill has been the center of attention of archaeologists and history enthusiasts. A number of international tourists who have visited Silk Hill have shared their opinions and experiences with Google users.
1. Oğuzhan Özoğlu from Turkey
Silk Hill is fully fenced, when you come to the entrance gate, there is a small counter and you can buy your entrance ticket from the machines there. Prices are different for non-Iranian citizens. I remember the entrance fee was US$4. Some of the ruins found in the excavation are on display in the reception area and you can visit them and walk up to the hill. The museum is open until 16:00 and the weather is quite hot until then. If you are sensitive to the heat, I recommend you never go there; especially at noon; Because the sun will burn you badly. If you are traveling in the summer season, I recommend that you visit early in the morning. There is no shade and it is difficult to even photograph the ruins. To be honest, the excavation area is not fully open for tourism; But I recommend that you definitely visit; A light breeze blows above; It may relieve the heat a little.
2. Bretislav Panak from the Czech Republic
A beautiful place of an ancient and amazing civilization!
3. Jia Changshun (賈長順) from China
A beautiful and historical attraction that is worth visiting.
4. Larisa Kruglova (Лариса Круглова) from Russia
This settlement dates back to 5 to 7 thousand years BC. Remains of structures discovered in Shodkh include probably ziggurats, palaces and residential houses. In these excavations, vessels, ceramic vessels for burying the dead and numerous skeletons have been found.
5. Park Beom Jun (박범준) from South Korea
The oldest ziggurat in history! Of course, it is not in a good condition compared to other ziggurats, and according to Marcopolo, the Mughals started building shrines from Kashan.
