The third edition of the International Cultural Heritage Multimedia Festival will be held from November 15 to 18, hosted by the city of Shiraz.
Alireza Tabesh, the secretary of the 3rd International Cultural Heritage Multimedia Festival, said at the press conference of this event:
Today’s society needs more national unity and cultural heritage can help the Iranian people to be more empathetic. The legacy of Iran’s past is the light of our future, and our cultural heritage has been a common point for everyone. Every step towards preservation and protection of Iran’s cultural heritage is a step towards national unity. The festival is a valuable platform for artists in the field of introducing cultural heritage and is an opportunity to create the importance and show the comprehensive place of heritage for the new generation of the country. Cultural heritage festival can be a way to create works and discover talents. Every work in this festival is a reflection of the common roots of our national identity.
Tabesh continued by emphasizing the importance of holding a cultural heritage multimedia festival.
Cultural work is value creation for a society. Society needs to respect its history and heritage. This event helps to promote cultural heritage and is a message of hope for a bright tomorrow.
The secretary of the third period of the festival, presenting a report of the works received in this period, stated:
This year we saw growth in different parts of the festival. We also requested the selection and judging group to provide their views for the improvement of the festival with an analytical view during the work. In this period, 3,589 works were sent from all over the country. Including the Shiraz section, 4,457 works in 14 sections have been sent to the third edition of the festival. Also, 75 judges from well-known personalities of heritage, culture and art participated in the judging stage.
Tabesh pointed out the differences of this period of the festival and said:
This year, the photography, idea and experience and future heritage watchers sections have been added to the festival, and the prizes for these three sections will also be awarded at the opening ceremony of the festival. Also, the winners of fields such as theater, cinema and music will also be introduced at the closing ceremony.
The secretary of the festival said about the addition of the international section to this course:
In this period, we started the international section in a limited and non-competitive manner in the short film, documentary and photo section. In this section, the joint production of Iran and Tajikistan called “Meloudi” will be present, and also a restored classic foreign film will be shown in cooperation with Iran’s National Cinema. Also, works from Russia, Serbia, Türkiye and Bosnia and Herzegovina about Iran’s cultural heritage will be screened in Shiraz. The film “Stones and Bricks” jointly produced by Iran and Italy will also be shown in this section. In the international photo section, we see the works of photographers from Armenia, Spain, America, China and Russia.
Pointing to the popular aspects of this year’s festival, Tabesh added:
The “Future Heritage Guardians” section will be implemented in the historical context of Shiraz with the help of the Center for Intellectual Development and the Ministry of Education. In addition, the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents was requested to import a mobile audience device into Fars, which will enter this province from November 14 and travel from the northern cities to Shiraz, and at the same time, it will show a film to introduce tangible cultural heritage and Intangible Iran will pay for children.
The secretary of the cultural heritage multimedia festival announced the free visit to the historical centers of Shiraz for one week and said:
With the approval of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, for one week, from the 12th to the 18th of November, visiting all historical places is free for the citizens of Shiraz. A museum tour campaign has been designed and informed to Fars education. The children and teenagers who participate in this campaign have been asked to write their narratives and these works will also be evaluated.
Simultaneously with this festival, several cultural events are planned to be implemented in Shiraz city. Tabesh said about this:
Six museum exhibitions will be held during this festival, including the display of historical artifacts of the Zandiyeh period in the Pars Museum, Shiraz minted coins in the Jahannama Garden, the endowment documents of Anis al-Douleh in the Jahannama Garden, Sardis of 70 historical kings based on the coins minted in one of the historical sites. . Also, the rare finds of Elam with the display of 40 rare works of this period with the title “Elam; Dawn of History” is held in Persepolis. In the Shahcheragh Museum, Islamic art will be presented with a selection of 74 works from the National Museum of Iran, and the unveiling of a coin minted on the occasion of the arrival of Imam Reza (AS) is one of the other programs of this festival.
The secretary of the 3rd International Multimedia Festival of Cultural Heritage, announcing the details of the works received in this period, said:
328 works in the cinema section, 167 works in the performing arts section, 78 works in the idea and experience section, 164 works in the radio section, 477 works in the poetry and music section, 1570 pieces of photographs in the digital heritage section, 61 works in the television section and 292 in the The heritage section of the future women also sent 130 works to this festival, among which some were selected for the final judging and the winners will be announced at the same time as the festival is held in Shiraz. Also, in the Shiraz award section, which includes photo, virtual space, music, drama, written, visual, cinematographic, television and radio sections, a total of 868 works have been received.
In the continuation of this meeting Leila Kafashzadeh, Mohammadyari and Hamidreza Hosseini, the secretary of different departments of this festival, gave explanations and the poster of the third edition of the festival was unveiled.
