Aviation Organization: Foreign airlines should not delay in refunding the ticket

The spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Organization said:

The flight of domestic airlines in the region is carried out according to the schedule and there is no problem in this regard.

There are no problems for domestic airlines’ round-trip flights, and the flights are carried out according to the schedule. Passengers should get the necessary information from the airline to get more information about their flight time. Only Iranair flights to the European Union have been canceled and the ticket price will be refunded. Passengers can register their complaints and comments on the airline’s website, which will definitely be dealt with.

Yazerlu stated that we issued a circular to all foreign airlines regarding the refund of passengers’ tickets.

With the investigations and complaints received from the passengers of the suspended flights, it was observed that some airlines have postponed the full refund of the passengers’ tickets until the following weeks, and this action has caused the dissatisfaction of the passengers. At the time of refunding the unused ticket, some airlines have taken action to deduct the tariff from the ticket price by justifying the non-refundable rate, while this organization has mandated the terms of the ticket refund in the past circulars under the title of non-voluntary.

All foreign airlines are notified that, while not delaying the refund of the passengers’ ticket money, the necessary arrangements should be made to refund the mentioned funds with the condition of urgency, and the result should be announced to the Civil Aviation Organization’s Airports, Companies and Aviation Institutions Supervision Office. Failure to refund the full amount of unused tickets is considered a violation under any title.
