The National Museum of Iran annually hosts many foreign tourists who share their opinions and experiences with Google users after visiting.
The National Museum of Iran or the Museum of Ancient Iran is one of the most important attractions of the capital, and many tourists in Tehran make visiting this museum their priority. This museum is known as the largest and richest museum in Iran by including various works from the Paleolithic period to the Islamic period. Many of the works of this museum are beyond material valuation and in a way, they are considered as the support of Iran’s national currency. A number of foreign tourists who have visited the National Museum of Iran have shared their experiences on Google Maps. In the following, we will review some of these comments.
1. Sheikh Masoud from Egypt
The museum is very well preserved and contains the historical works of Iran, from the ancient times and the period of Cyrus. It gives visitors a very good insight into life in ancient times. There are good items for display. The entrance fee is 4,000,000 rials (6.5 euros). If you are interested in history, you can easily spend two consecutive hours in this museum. The behavior of the staff is very friendly. thank you

Ancient Iran Museum (National Museum of Iran) is the first museum in Iran. After buying the entrance ticket (I think 50,000 rials!) you go to the first floor; Where you will see the Palaeolithic to early Neolithic period which I happened to pass by. I spend a lot of time on the ground floor; Because I like the Achaemenid period. Thanks to the brochure that I picked up right after the entrance of the stairs to the first floor, I get the necessary information. I highly recommend picking up a brochure (available in English); Because it is very informative. My favorite work is a guard dog; There are two photos on the base of the statue. Please take a look while you are there. A mummy will also welcome you. Almost all the boards have English translation which is really useful. I usually skip the things I’m not interested in and just focus on the things I like; So my visit lasted only an hour. I believe that with such a rich history, the National Museum can cover many more works; But nevertheless, I’m glad I visited!
3. Fatih Agurtlu from Turkey
If you are interested in Iranian history, definitely go there; There are beautiful works of art.
4. Lizko Petrova from Russia
The National Museum is amazing and a very accessible exhibit. Information about the works is also included in English. The souvenir shop is worth admiring; It is expensive; But amazing! I really liked it. At the entrance, our bags and belongings were delivered to a (free) storage room. The entrance fee was about five dollars per person.
5. Marcelino Diaz from Spain
It includes examples and documents of Iranians from the first millennia of civilization. The museum building has two floors; But the most interesting is the ground floor, which has several examples of the remains of Persepolis.
6. Prof. Samir Mukherjee from India
If you love museums and want to know history, this is a good place. There are very old artifacts in this museum.
