The circular of the Civil Aviation Organization regarding handling the affairs of passengers in unexpected circumstances was announced.
The spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Organization informed all domestic and foreign airlines about the notification of this organization’s circular in order to deal with the affairs of passengers in unexpected circumstances.
“Jafar Yazerlo” stated:
Due to the unforeseen circumstances governing the country’s flights and the closure of a number of domestic and international airports, he informed all airlines that the tickets of passengers whose flights have been canceled due to the current unforeseen circumstances must be refunded without deducting a fine.
He added:
The tickets of passengers whose flights have been canceled due to the current unforeseen circumstances, but the passenger has not canceled the flight and intends to travel as soon as possible, should be prioritized according to the empty seat capacity of the passengers (elderly, infants, disabled, pregnant mothers). Re-booking is done without charging a fee and a new ticket is issued.
Yazerlo stated:
It is obvious that this organization will proceed to issue extraordinary flight permits in order to transfer this category of passengers as quickly as possible in domestic and foreign routes.
The spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Organization added:
The payment for the tickets that were issued on or before October 10th and the flight time is until the end of Tuesday, October 17th, if under the current conditions the passenger intends to cancel the trip for any reason, he must pay according to the conditions (Involuntary) without deduction. The fine should be returned.
He continued:
All airlines must inform all their authorized ticket sales agencies and passengers about the aforementioned conditions in an effective way. It is obvious that in case of violation of the provisions of this circular, appropriate action will be taken against the violators.
