Qatar online visa
To get Qatar visa online, you can use “Hayya Portal”. Qatar visa application online requires payment with international cards; Therefore, it is not usually chosen by Iranians, and Iranian travelers find the airport visa method more convenient.
The time for issuing a Qatar visa is a maximum of five days; Qatar emergency visa is issued within 24 to 48 hours; But issuing a normal visa usually takes three days and a maximum of five days. In rare cases, a delay of one to two weeks may also occur. The visa is emailed to the applicant as a file, and travelers must print it and carry it with them during the trip.
The online visa application process takes place in the following steps:
- Go to Haya Portal website.
- Create an account on the portal using your email.
- Click on “Start the Hayya Journey” option.
- Select “Flying to Qatar” option.
- Choose your nationality.
- Answer the following questions and click the confirm button.
- The portal will show selectable visas according to your answers.
- If the portal shows “Tourist Visa (A1)”, select it.
- Then the required documents will be displayed for you on a page, which includes a personal photo and a copy of the passport, as well as a voucher or hotel reservation confirmation from the Discover Qatar website.

Qatar visa extension
You can extend the Qatar tourist visa up to one month and stay in Qatar up to 59 days in total. Applicants must pay QAR 200 for an additional month. You can stay longer in Qatar only if you have an invitation. Tourist visa is issued only for tourism and travelers cannot work with it. To renew your visa online, you need to do the following steps:

Qatar transit visa
Transit visa is for travelers who have a temporary stopover in Qatar. This visa is required for travelers who intend to cross Qatar for a connecting flight to the next destination and whose stop at Doha airport takes more than five hours. If the layover is less than five hours and the passenger stays at the airport, a transit visa is not required.
In general, there are two types of transit visas:
- Transit visa type A, which is only for stopping at the airport and the person is not allowed to leave the airport.
- Transit visa type B that the applicant can stay in a third country for a few days.

If the transfer flight distance at Doha Qatar airport is more than five hours, passengers with transit visas can also enter Qatar.
