The design of Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 is changing

The interesting thing is that the source of this information is not always a rendered image or a photo of the product prototype, but only a software icon. In the leaked version of the One UI 8.5 operating system, there is an icon for the Galaxy Buds 4, which has obvious differences from the icon of its predecessor, the Buds 3, and these differences can indicate extensive changes in the design of these wireless headphones.

The icon related to Galaxy Buds 3 in the same software, marked with the list_ic_earbuds_buds4 tag, looks quite familiar and is somewhat reminiscent of the design of AirPods Pro. But the Galaxy Buds 4 icon features a bolder design. In this icon, the headphone series looks smaller and rounder, and its stem is also slightly different.

The ends of the stems are completely rounded instead of the triangular shape that was seen in the previous generation, and the main body of the headphones also has different dimensions. It may seem a little strange to analyze the future of a product based on a software icon, but Samsung usually does not change its icon until it intends to redesign the hardware of a product.
