Apple plans to produce and use some parts related to Apple Watch Ultra 2 through 3D printing. This action can save money.
According to Tekna technology and technology news service, Apple products analyst Ming Chi Ku claims that the company will produce some of the first mechanical parts of Watch Ultra 2, which will be released this year, with a 3D printer. This analyst’s post on the Medium website shows that Apple uses 3D printing in the manufacture of some technologies. One of these products is Apple Watch Ultra 2, some of its mechanical parts will be made in this way.
These parts may include the rotary button, side buttons and action button. In fact, these parts in this smart watch are mechanical parts. Titanium parts are also produced by CNC machines.
3D printing technology and its use in the production of parts, in addition to increasing their production speed, also reduces costs. According to Ko, if the suppliers produce these parts under suitable conditions, the process of using this technology in other products will continue. Previously, Bloomberg’s Mark Gorman also reported that in addition to the first release of the Watch Ultra this year, the Apple Watch Lead 9 will also be announced at the same time.
