The newly discovered Bronze Age city is located in China’s Shaanxi Province. Archaeologists began excavating the Zhaigou area in late spring last year. So far, they have been able to identify 9 graves belonging to rich people. Out of these 9 graves, 7 are quadrangular and have corridors. Experts suspect that these are related to local leaders. In ancient China, having a corridor on the way to the grave meant a person’s high social status, and ordinary people did not have the right to build it.

The center of the Bronze Age city of China was built using rammed earth method. In this method, a mixture of related soil and other materials is compressed and placed in a mold. Various buildings with different functions have also been discovered in this area, among which handicraft workshops and pottery kilns can be mentioned. Several bronze pieces of horse-drawn carriages have also been discovered in this area, and the remains of horses can also be identified.

They believe that this city was once the capital of a rival kingdom of the Shang Dynasty and was later occupied.
