Xiaomi Box and Max 5 Specifications
The Xiaomi Box 5 is equipped with a Cortex-A55 quad-core chip and a Mali-G310 V2 graphics processor and comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. In contrast, the 5 Max Box uses 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and allows users to run more programs and save more content.
Both models support 4K image quality with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and are equipped with a dedicated Xiaomi AI-SR engine. This engine dramatically improves the quality of non -4K content by increasing the clarity of texture and improving the transparency of images, especially for old 720p or 1080p video.
In addition, these devices support Dolby Vision and DTS: X audio formats and are able to transmit 7.1.4 channel sound if connected to compatible home theater systems, which provide a pervasive and comprehensive sound experience.
The Xiaomi Box and Max 5, 97 x 97.1 x 17 mm, weigh less than 100 grams, making it easier to hide them on the back of the TV or easy to carry on trips. Both models support the WiFi 6 -band connection for stable and fast stream. Bluetooth 5.2 allows low -delayed sound to headphones or wireless speakers. Existing physical ports include HDMI, USB 2.0 and DC power input.
Both devices use the Xiaomi Hyperos operating system, which also acts as a dashboard for smart home management when used with the Mi Home program. These devices are integrated with Xiao AI, Xiaomi Audio Assistant, allowing users to use voice commands to play content, control smart devices, or ask common questions.
The remote control feature of these devices supports the NFC Screen Casting feature, and users can simply close their smartphone to the remote control to move the content to the display and do not need to go through the sophisticated stages of mating or QR codes. During the content distribution, notifications and calls will be hidden to protect users’ privacy.
