IOS 18.3 has come up and makes changes to summarize artificial intelligence notifications on your iPhone. In iOS 18.3 releases, Apple has announced that it has temporarily deactivated notifications for news and entertainment programs.
The change, which was first observed in the beta version of iOS 18.3, came after the BBC criticized the feature for the incorrect summary of one of its headlines, according to the Technology Technology Media Software Service. If you are involved in this feature, Apple will let you know when it will be available again.
For Apple devices that support Apple Intelligence (the iPhone 5 Pro and newer models, iPads and Macs with the Apple Silicon M1 chip or the newer and latest iPad mini version), today’s updates to the Apple Intelligence are also illuminating.
Other features provided with the new iPhone update include using Visual Intelligence to add an event to the calendar program from a poster or ad as well as a way to “easily identify plants and animals”. In Macs, the MacOS 15.3 update, which is now being released, adds support for Genmoji along with similar changes to summarize notifications.
In addition, iOS 18.3 displays notification summaries as diagonal text to help you identify them from standard notifications. There will be new settings that allow you to manage notification summaries from your lock screen. You can download iOS 18.3 updates by going to Settings> General> Software update.
