However, the reality seems to be something else!

As usual, Qualcomm has planned its own Snapdragon Summit event, where it is expected to unveil a new product.

According to previous rumors, this new chip was actually predicted to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and not the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 2.

Nevertheless, the presence of the Redmi 8S Pro phone in the AnTuTu benchmark test indicates that this phone is equipped with a mid-generation Snapdragon 8+ Gen chip. 2 is the new generation of this mobile processor!

Of course, considering that there are about five months left until the introduction of the new generation of these processors, it seems a bit strange that Qualcomm intends to introduce the “Plus” model!

On the other hand, the frequency of the Snapdragon 8 Plus 2nd generation graphic processing unit is also equal to 719 MHz; While the core speed of Snapdragon 8 generation 2 was equal to 680 MHz.

Except for these cases, there is not much difference in the technical specifications of these two processors.

Both chipsets under review are produced by TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process, and Qualcomm will launch the Plus model in smaller volumes due to its greater focus on the next generation of its flagship chips.

Apart from this information, there are no other details about the Snapdragon 8+ Gen chipset. 2 is not available. However, considering that there are about five months left until the unveiling of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets, we can expect the introduction of the Redmi 8S Pro equipped with the Snap chipset. 8+ Gen. 2 will take place in the coming days and weeks.
