The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G smartphone supports 90W fast charging

After the introduction of the Redmi Note 14 5G and Note 14 Pro 5G models, now there is new information about the more advanced model of the series, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G. According to the IMEI database, the smartphone will support 90W fast charging technology. Meanwhile, the previous generation of this series, Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, uses 120W fast charging.

According to Tekna Technology Media’s mobile news service, Xiaomi has implemented changes in the field of fast charging technology in the new Redmi Note 14 series. Although the charging speed of 90 watts is still considered very high, its decrease compared to the previous generation is questionable. Since the introduction of Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, the speed of fast charging in this series had increased to 120 W, its sudden decrease in the new generation is not particularly justified.

However, it should be noted that this slowdown is only limited to the Pro and Pro+ models. The standard Redmi Note 14 5G model, unlike previous models, supports 45W fast charging, which is an improvement over the previous generation. Probably, Xiaomi has decided to reduce the charging speed in more professional models with the aim of optimizing battery consumption and increasing its lifespan.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G smartphone with model number 24115RA8EG has already received 3C certification, which is a confirmation of its 90W fast charging support. It is worth noting that some sources initially attributed this model number to the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, but new information suggests that this claim was not correct.

Xiaomi is going to officially unveil the Redmi Note 14 series at the end of this month. At this event, more details about the specifications, price and release date of these smartphones will be released.
