The One UI 6.1 update adds a unique Bluetooth streaming feature to the Galaxy S24 series phones, and they can connect to an unlimited number of headphones at the same time!
On December 27, Samsung officially unveiled its Galaxy S24 family of phones. At the event, it was revealed that the new Samsung phones are equipped with the One UI 6.1 update, which brings a bunch of new features to the device. Among them is a new feature called “Bluetooth Auracast”, which is a new wireless connection feature for wireless headphones and smartphones.
Bluetooth Auoracast is actually a broadcasting technology that can be used to send audio files to an unlimited number of receivers from different devices such as a phone. For this, you only need one audio source to share audio with multiple wireless headphones and earbuds. And now Samsung has brought this technology to its phones with One UI 6.1.
Connect to an unlimited number of wireless headphones with the Galaxy S24
First of all, broadcasters need to support Auracast to use it. Receivers must also support at least Bluetooth 5.2. Considering Samsung's current product portfolio in the market, this means that only the Galaxy S24 series phones can support Auracast thanks to OneUI 6.1. In the wireless earbuds of this Korean company, only the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro can offer this technology. Therefore, if you own these two products, you will see the Auroxt Bluetooth streaming option in the Bluetooth settings menu of your device.
Once the connection is established, you can send the music playing on your smartphone to an unlimited number of wireless headphones and earbuds to play on their phones. You can also restrict audio recipients by choosing a four-digit passcode to prevent anyone from connecting to your Bluetooth broadcast.
