Cryptocurrency software company CoinLedger has compiled a list of the most popular figures in the digital asset industry using the number of followers they have on social media. These names come from a list of 30 influential people in the crypto sector in 2023.
According to CoinLedger, Chang Peng Zhao (CZ), the CEO of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, is the most popular figure in the industry. CZ has a total of 9 million followers on social media X and Instagram, of which over 8.6 million are from X.

Vitalik Buterin, a computer programmer and co-founder of Ethereum, is the second most famous person in crypto with a total of 7.7 million followers on X and Instagram.
Buterin is also the most popular personality on Instagram with 2.7 million followers. The third popular character is Jack Dorsey, founder and former CEO of X, who now owns financial services firm Block. All 6.4 million Dorsey followers are from X; Because he deleted his Instagram account.
After Dorsey, Michael Silver, a Bitcoin fan and co-founder of business intelligence firm MicroStrategy, is the fourth most popular person on the list, with a total of more than 3.2 million social media followers.
Kathy Wood, founder and CEO of investment management firm Ark Invest, also ranks fifth with a similar mix of followers on X.

Meanwhile, Sam Benkman-Fried, the convicted founder and former CEO of failed cryptocurrency exchange FTX, is ranked 10th with 1.9 million followers on X and Instagram.
