Sidekicks can wear clothes and decorative items, but you need to earn Sidekick Points to unlock these clothes. These points are accumulated naturally with the companion of the animal next to you, but probably more interactions will be added to get them in the future. Players can also choose names for their animals.

In terms of design, sidekicks are attractive and varied, but the main reason this feature makes a lot of money for Epic Games is that it can offer a variety of new decorative items in the game store. You can change your pet’s appearance, but these changes are permanent. “You can buy a sidekick multiple times and give it a different look each time,” Epic Games said.

While Epic’s official post didn’t mention this, the released videos show the sidekicks performing movements similar to the emotes. Some of them are synchronized with the player’s movements. However, sidekicks provide no gameplay advantage and cannot be harmed. However, if other players can see your animal, their presence may reveal your location.

After Piles, other animals will be introduced such as Bonesy, Spike and Lil Raptor, all of which are seen in the promotional image. Pills will be available from November 1 (November 10) and the rest from November 7 (November 16). Those who already own the Bonesy Back Bling item will also automatically receive the Bonesy Animal.
