Artificial intelligence startup Perplexity has announced that it will release its search app for Samsung Smart TVs.
According to Engjet, Samsung will add this startup’s artificial intelligence search engine to its smart TVs in cooperation with Perplexity. If you own one of the 2025 Samsung TVs, you can start using this application right now.

Samsung said that later this year, this application will be released through OTA update for 2024 and 2023 models. Perplexity is also offering its Pro subscription for free for 12 months to Samsung TV owners as part of this partnership. To take advantage of this offer, just scan the QR code displayed inside the new app.
Perplexity is an AI-powered search engine, and before companies like OpenAI and Anthropic added web search capabilities to their chatbots, the startup offered an innovative solution that allowed users to explore the web more deeply than traditional Google search.
After the introduction of AI Mode by Google, the competition in the field of artificial intelligence search engine has increased. Now Perplexity plans to increase its influence in different ecosystems through cooperation with Samsung. The Perplexity app for Samsung TVs allows users to ask questions and get answers by typing or using a voice command.
Of course, Perplexity has been involved in a lot of scandals in recent months. Cloudflare accused the startup of illegally collecting data from websites it didn’t have permission to access. Also, two major Japanese media companies sued Perplexity for copyright infringement and claimed that this company not only took their information without permission, but also attributed false content to them.
