The state of California in the United States will enforce new laws on artificial intelligence and chats. A bill aimed at regulating the artificial intelligence chat industry has now become official law in the state.
California Governor Gavin Nawsam has signed the Senate No. 1 bill, according to Verj. The Senator Anthony Padila has referred to the bill, “The first country’s conservation measures in the field of artificial intelligence chats.” Under this new law, chat developers are required to take new safety measures to protect users.
For example, if a rational person mistakenly imagines when interacting with a chatting that is talking to a human being, the manufacturer is obliged to clearly declare that their product is merely an artificial intelligence system and is not human.
Also from next year, the new law will oblige some artificial intelligence chats to submit annual reports to the Office of Suicide Prevention. These reports should include an explanation of measures adopted to identify, eliminate and respond to suicide thoughts. The suicide prevention office is also required to publish this data on its website to maintain public transparency on how these chats work.
California’s new law for age control in app stores
The state of California has also recently joined the states that have set age controls for app stores and operating systems. The new law, AB 1043, is one of several internet -related bills that Gavin Nawsam signed on Monday. The collection also includes rules on social networking tags, chats and sex dipfology.
Technology companies have also supported the bill, saying that AB 1043 offers a more balanced approach to the age of the users than in other states, while better guaranteing privacy.
In the new California law, children can still download apps without their parents’ consent. It also does not require users to upload an ID card or photo identity. The main idea of the bill is to bring his or her age to the parent; Therefore, the law is more of an age restriction than a system for authentication.
