Some senior executives in US technology companies attended a dinner banquet at the White House and met with US President Donald Trump.
According to Yahoo, artificial intelligence is said to have been one of the main issues discussed at this dinner. Among the executives at the banquet include Tim Cook, Apple CEO, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta. There were also more than 5 other senior executives.
The White House dinner has discussed artificial intelligence
Of course, this is not Trump’s first dinner with senior US technology executives, and he had already met with many of them at his personal palace in Florida.
Ilan Musk, the Tesla CEO and the one who once was the main figure of the White House Productivity Department, did not attend the event. Of course, the White House announced that a representative from Mask was present at the meeting. After several months in the Trump administration, Ilan Musk resigned from his positions in the government following a disagreement with the President. Mask is said to be seeking to launch a new political party in the United States, which seems to have remained stopped.
It is said that the government’s artificial intelligence training group chaired by Melania Trump’s first lady held an event earlier in the evening with senior Google and Openai executives.
“I am grateful for being a supporter of business and innovation,” Openai’s CEO told Trump during the dinner. “This is a very fresh and pleasant change.” Openai collaborates with the White House in a $ 2 billion project to develop artificial intelligence infrastructure called the Stargit Project. Oracle and Softbank are other colleagues of the project.
Openai has also announced that it intends to make its artificial intelligence services available to federal departments at the lowest price. The US Department of Defense has also awarded an Openai $ 5 million deal to develop artificial intelligence tools for military and national security applications.
