That Dwayne Johnson, the star of the best -selling business blockbuster, was the start of the Awards Awards Season 24, maybe a few years ago it seemed a joke. But in his first solo directing experience, Bani Sefadi has revealed a new face of Rock: he appears in the role of Mark Car, one of the first heroes of the UFC. The first reviews and scores of The Smashing Machine are now available.
“The Brace Car” tells the true story of one of the former heroes of UAFC that confronts a variety of crises, from addiction to materials and pills, to a complex romantic relationship and heavy struggles.
Criticisms and scores of “crushing car”; An acceptable sport drama

The average film rating on the Rattomitosis site is 84% (27 positive and 5 negative reviews), and in metacocritism it has an average score of 75% (15 positive and 2 average cash). The average movie rating on the iDBB site is 8.8 out of 10, which shows that the filmmakers were completely satisfied with the film.

In the elementary scene of “Crushing Car”, a shocking, accurate and highly human -shocking sporting film, we see a pre -recorded video of Mark Car (played by Dwayne Johnson) in his first amateur race. The fight against the corner ends with his opponent, attacking him with cruel fists without gloves one after another, and turning his face into a blood mass.
While all this is happening, we hear the sound A calm and sweet sound, and for an interviewer, describes the excitement that he gets in the ring when he destroys his opponent and can feel the moment of fate that another fighter collapses and surrenders. This seems reasonable to us, but at the same time, it is not too far to describe a serial killer of the excitement of someone to death. “When you win, nothing is important in the world,” says Mark. He talks about the ship, but he really talks about violence.
All this means that the brand we see is the creature of sports plays; Stylish and polite, but what he carries deep in his existence is a grip that he hardly knows what to do with. And from here, Dwayne Johnson’s good game begins. Outside the ring, his brand is good enough, but if you look accurately, he is conquered; The struggle that feeds on its inner brutality, but at the same time is strangely separated from it. The pieces of his personality do not fit together.
By changing all of his aspects (he looks like a new actor), Johnson gives the mystery to that calm, obscure and hidden aspect of the brand. He presents an extraordinary game and plays Mark Car as a quiet giant with an inner demons. You might think the keyword is in the title of “Crushing”, but it is actually “car”. Mark Care should be a car; And the film is about how this car becomes a human.
Bani Sefadi has spent all his career in making independent dramas with his brother, Josh, who ended their masterpiece in 2019, “Jewelers.” But here, in his first solo experience as a writer and director, he finds his own identity. “The Barring Car” looks less like a movie from the Sefidian brothers, and more like the “wrestler” by Darren Aronovsky starring Mickey Rork in the role of an elderly professional wrestler, with a bit of “Angry Cow”.
Drag – Sto Pand
Given the filthy films made by Benny Sefadi with his brother Josh, you may expect his new film, “Crushing Car”, a cruel and exciting work, especially because it goes back to its main actor’s martial arts, Dwayne -Marc -Johnson. But one of the surprise points of the film is that in many ways it is one of the most gentle works you will see about the struggle. This is Benny Sefidi’s first solo directing experience, and he tends to be unexpected.
In some way, this film studio A. 24 inspires Mark Kerr himself, who was both a violent MM and a gentle and quiet man. Care can beat his opponents, but the next day in the doctor’s office, he calmly explain to an elderly woman that the struggles are not really angry and how much they respect each other.
And while watching the injuries in the struggle, where the best way to win is to throw the opponent on the ground, hit him with a fist or knee to stop the referee, but the film does not show these struggles from close angles. Instead, the competitions are filmed from outside the rim, and most of the struggles end very quickly.
In fact, a trip may spend more time on a single view of the coroner that slowly returns to the dressing room after his first fight from the inner corridors of the stadium.
“Carriers” is a historic film that takes us to the time when the martial arts had their own fans and the fighters traveled to Japan for a relatively low money. The story of the film takes place between 1997 and 2000, when a star was emerging.
It is a simple solution if it is difficult to imagine that a face with Johnson’s fame plays the role of a low -key and badge fighter: make him almost unknown. You can find out from his voice that Johnson is, and the end of the film, when he cuts his head, his face gets a little closer, but in most of the film, Johnson’s face (and of course his tattoos) under the makeup and prostheses that are not prosthesis, thanks to Oscar -winning designer, Caso Hero.

In the “Crushing Car”, Benny Sefadi forces one of Hollywood’s most popular stars to go with parts of his personality that usually remains intact. With this game, Johnson offers a show of sadness, and the unique intensity and depth that seems to be awards for him. In Venice’s first press show, Johnson was welcomed by critics; Critics who never paid much attention to him in Jumanji or Hobbes and Shaw.
The film, which takes place in the late 1990s, tells the story of Mark Kerr’s real life, combined martial arts fighter, and UFC. The tone of the film is deliberate and boring. One of the main pleasures here is the way that the film disrupts many traditional conventions of sports films. As much as it focuses on the brand’s struggles in the ring, the white script also focuses on his addiction to housing and drugs.
Of course, the brand is also addicted. And to achieve it, it goes to the point of extremes. If it is necessary, the finger will plug in his opponent’s cut to maximize his pain and ensure the victory, he will do so. But moments later, he tries to encourage a man who has just forced to surrender.
Mark’s victories also cause a lot of damage to itself. He has a constant physical pain and his mental condition is deteriorating. Strangely enough, Down (Emily Blunt) seems to be happier when Mark is in its worst situation, because at that time it is most dependent on him. He loves partying, drinking and exciting jokes and is not an ideal partner for an athlete who is trying to keep himself ready.
A white stereotype is not completely avoided. However, this is a story in which victory seems very absurd. The “Crushing Car” may not provide the reward that spectators expect from the usual sporting films, but this is the most vulnerable situation Johnson has ever appeared on the cinema. When you see him so much vulnerability, you will no longer watch his usual stunts in action films.
Guardian – Peter Bradshaw
The film is about the life of a large man named Mark Car, a pioneering American hero in MSA and UFC, who experienced a major crisis in 1997 after being humiliated in his first defeat. The “crushing car” is actually made from a documentary (2002) about the same title. In this film, he is confronted with the abuse of materials, the anxieties of his relationship, and the question of what life will be if you can’t always win.
Dwayne Johnson is played. Her appearance with short curly hair and her face prostheses look like a haul. No other actor for this role even from afar; Unless Timothy Shalami decided to build muscle. (These days, Sasha Baron Cohen could also play this role and probably played it with the same seriousness of Johnson.)
The terrible and existential nightmare of failure, which no one had prepared in the professional or personal circle of Kerr, causes that giant statue of man to shake and fall. Car is forced to pour their opioids into the trash, go to the Rehabilitation Center, and face the important people of his life again.
