The official German data monitoring agency has asked Apple and Google to remove the Dip -Sick Artificial Intelligence app for illegal data transfer from app stores.
According to reports, the government has reportedly informed Apple and Google that the Dip -Sick app is sending users information illegally to China; For this reason, the two companies should be removed from the app stores.
Application of the Dip -Sick App from German app stores
Mike Camp, the Berlin City Data Protection and Information Commissioner, told Apple and Google that the Dipsic app failed to provide convincing evidence that users’ data are properly protected in accordance with EU rules. Camp also emphasized that Chinese officials have extensive access to personal data from users in the field of Chinese companies. Therefore, he asked these two technology giants to carefully review the report and finally decide whether to remove the app from their stores.
The Berlin City Commissioner said his data protection office had previously called on Deepsic to act in accordance with EU law and to comply with all legal requirements if the data was transferred outside the EU. Otherwise, to remove its app from the country, but the Chinese company has ignored these requests and has not taken action.
This happened when Italy had previously removed the Dipsic app from its app stores due to similar concerns about data protection. The important point that privacy groups in the European Union have repeatedly mentioned is that Dipsic is a China -made service and is carrying out all its operations from within the same country. Based on the privacy policy of this app, the information it collects and stores is also kept on Chinese soil.
In the end, so far, none of Apple and Google have responded to the requests for explanation or response. This seems to require further investigation and the final decision -making of these two large technology companies to maintain the security of user data and adhere to international law.
