Artificial intelligence is in the spotlight more than ever, and now Google has decided to provide developers with access to one of its most advanced AI language models, PaLM. In addition to releasing an API for PaLM, the world’s search engine giant has also unveiled several enterprise tools that businesses can use to generate text, images, code, video, and audio with simple language commands.
PaLM’s large language model is similar to OpenAI’s GPT series language models or Meta’s LLaMA models. Google first unveiled PaLM in April 2022, and developers can use it for a variety of tasks, including building conversational chatbots similar to ChatGPT or coding.
Developer access to PaLM AI
In order to make it easier for developers to work with PaLM, Google has released a new app next to the API of this model, called MakerSuite, through which you can create personalized models. According to Google, it is also possible to set models for building artificial intelligence systems through the browser.
Along with the release of the PaLM model API, Google has also expanded the support of Zaya artificial intelligence on the Vertex AI platform; A platform designed to help businesses train and deploy machine learning models. Vertex provides access to models built by Google Research and DeepMind.
Finally, Google has introduced a new platform called Generative AI App Builder, which allows developers to quickly deliver new experiences like bots, chat interfaces, personalized search engines, digital assistants and more.
