Dua Lipa and other artists protest against the British artificial intelligence copy plan

A number of famous British musicians and singers, including Elton John and Dua Lipa, in an open letter to the British government, called for revision in controversial programs for reforming the rights laws. These programs will benefit artificial intelligence developers.

The amendment aims to make the legal framework of the use of artificial intelligence models of copyright content more strict. Celebrities have said to the British Prime Minister in part of their letter:

“We are the creators of wealth, we reflect and promote national stories. We are future innovators and artificial intelligence needs us as much as computer energy and skills. “If we leave our job at the request of several large foreign technology companies, we will miss the opportunity to grow a huge growth.”

Late last year, the British government proposed a plan to allow artificial intelligence companies to use copyright content for their models. The plan faced a strong opposition from the art community and the British newspapers, and the government responded that it was ready to hear the parties’ proposals.
