According to Bloomberg News, Openai plans to buy Windsurf programming tool for about $ 5 billion. This transaction will be the biggest purchase in Openai if it is finalized.

Windsurf, formerly known as Codeium, had recently entered into negotiations with companies such as General Catalyst and Kleiner Perkins, and its evaluation had just reached $ 5 billion. The company was valued at $ 1.5 billion last summer with $ 5 million -led by General Catalyst.
