In the panel “What’s the fuss about?” “Artificial Intelligence and Iranian Businesses” which was held on the second day of the 26th edition of the Elcomp Exhibition, Vahid Mafi, the Director of Information Technology of the Part Artificial Intelligence Research Center, said: “In the last few years, due to the Corona epidemic, we have seen developments that may not happen for another 50 years.” And the launch of Signal application was one of the effective actions of Part to solve the crises resulting from the spread of this disease.

Corona opened the window of opportunities

According to Hoshio, in a panel that was held today on July 5th at the Elcomp exhibition, Vahid Mafi, the director of information technology at the Artificial Intelligence Research Center of Part, stated that regarding artificial intelligence and its impact in the domestic sphere, Corona has opened a window of opportunity for the country to do the work that has been done so far. It wouldn’t have happened in 50 years, let’s see it happen in these few years. We at the Part Artificial Intelligence Research Center have been working on the topic of artificial intelligence since 1996, while there was not much discussion about artificial intelligence until then, but we focused on this issue based on the research we did in this field.

Maffei said: We have more than 170 artificial intelligence experts in Part, and this number is the only statistic we have in the company’s artificial intelligence unit, which is separate from other human resources personnel in the rest of the departments. Our goal in this center is to develop various artificial intelligence services with a microservice approach.

Referring to Part’s Signal application, which has had a successful experience in using artificial intelligence technologies to increase the number and satisfaction of users, Part’s information technology manager added: What we saw in Signal was experienced by 10 million active users in the field of stock exchange. The Signal application was actually a combination of 17 different artificial intelligence services that provide the possibility of smart authentication. This authentication model is always growing and is used in companies and government organizations.

Governance artificial intelligence similar to the national mobile project

Masoud Ali Akbarzadeh, the CEO of Tosun Smart Data Mining, said in the continuation of this panel about artificial intelligence: Although artificial intelligence has existed for about 70 years, this technology has become popular now because of the future that is imagined for artificial intelligence. In the field of artificial intelligence, we are copying the world instead of producing our own unique innovations. This desire to imitate is primarily due to the need for artificial intelligence and also the future of artificial intelligence in the world.

He divided artificial intelligence into two spheres of governance and corporate and added: artificial intelligence in the sphere of governance has become something like a national mobile for which they spent a lot of money, but in the end all these efforts and expenses did not go anywhere and led to failure. But in the corporate field, the groups were able to use this technology to meet their internal needs, and the investment they made in this field was reversible and they were able to grow because of it.

The CEO of Smart Data Mining Tusan said about the position of this technology in the country: Microsoft, as a leading company in the field of artificial intelligence, has spent something around 2 thousand billion. But in Iran, the total amount of oil sales in the country is 1,100 billion dollars, so we conclude that the main indicator for the growth of technology is investment in it.

The excitement for artificial intelligence has reached its peak

In the continuation of the panel, Somia Cheshmi, the head of Fanap Advanced Technologies Laboratory, gave explanations about the gap between the players in the field of artificial intelligence and added: a big gap can be seen between the activists of the IT field and the users of this group. Fanap is part of a large financial group and provides technologies for the growth of the company’s various holdings.

Referring to the maturity of some industries, he said: technology maturity does not exist in a series of industries, meanwhile Fanap seeks to introduce itself as a smart industry operator. But here is the basic question; How ready are industries to accept this issue? While some managers show a lot of enthusiasm in this field, unfortunately, the maturity of the technology is low, and this raises the risk of artificial intelligence.

Cheshmi continued: Another issue is the excitement that has been created for artificial intelligence all over the world, but many actors in this field do not pay attention to the principled, effective, continuous and ultimately value-creating work.

In the other part of the panel; Arsham Sharafai, the CEO of “Meta-e-Commerce” said that one of the main features of the “Elect” group is the speed in identifying opportunities and continued: “Elect identifies opportunities very well and approaches them in a multilateral manner.” In this group, we have more than 22,000 personnel directly in the field of artificial intelligence, at the same time, we are active in 30 countries and have 18 holdings.

He considered the main reason for entering the discussion of artificial intelligence to meet the needs of this group and said: The reason for our entry into the field of artificial intelligence was the need for a new tool and field that will advance all the needs of the holding with more accuracy and speed. The technology ecosystem needed a basic infrastructure, that’s why we named it meta-ecommerce.

Artificial intelligence is not a tool, it is a part of life

Youssef Ghasemi, the CEO of Flamingo, said about the importance of artificial intelligence in the direction of human survival: From the beginning, the creation of man was not supposed to work, but the purpose was to make him live. Artificial intelligence leads us to do the least. Artificial intelligence is the main feature of the human gene, which says that we should not work, but live. The feature of human survival eliminates the possible dangers of artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence and metaverse are not tools but part of life.
