Jensen Huang, the CEO of Nvidia, plans to expand the AI infrastructure around the world, and for this purpose, he is personally negotiating with various people.
In a conversation with Wired’s senior writer at The Big Interview event in San Francisco, Nvidia’s CEO said artificial intelligence could change our definition of computing in the last 60 years. Huang continued that the power of artificial intelligence is so incredible that no one seems to have the ability to deal with it. In this field, he said, you either ride the wave of artificial intelligence or miss it.
Nvidia expands artificial intelligence around the world
In another part of his speech, Jensen Huang said that people are starting to understand that artificial intelligence is like energy and communication infrastructure, and in the future there will be digital intelligent infrastructure.
Now the Nvidia CEO’s new job is to get others, especially governments around the world, to agree on his vision. Huang was in Thailand during this interview with Wired magazine, and stated that the purpose of this trip was to meet with the Prime Minister of Thailand to create a world-class artificial intelligence infrastructure in the country.
It seems that Jensen Huang’s world tour to attract the attention of various governments has been successful so far, and he has managed to attract the positive opinion of at least 10 countries to invest in artificial intelligence. During his interview, Huang said that he has traveled to Denmark, Japan, Indonesia and India this year. All of these countries have apparently decided to build their native AI systems using Nvidia chips.
Artificial intelligence has become one of the latest areas of tension between the United States and China. This week, the US government announced new restrictions on the export of chip manufacturing technology and equipment to China. In response, China also announced that it will ban the export of key minerals used in chip manufacturing to the United States.
