Elon Musk, who recently became the best Diablo 4 player, is one of the biggest fans of video games. The owner of X and the CEO of Tesla recently published a post about the construction of a Artificial intelligence game studio by startup xAI informs
Musk vaguely wrote in his post:
“Many game studios belong to big companies. xAI is going to build an AI game studio that will make games great again.”
In the beginning of his post, Musk wants to criticize the current state of the game industry by referring to the studios that are owned by the big game companies. In fact, he responded to Dogecoin founder Billy Marcus’ post criticizing the current state of the gaming industry. Marcus has expressed frustration that game developers and journalists have become “ideological captives”.
This isn’t the first time Musk has mentioned “making games great again” in his posts. He also wrote in another post last week:
“We need a gamer voting group!
Make games great again!!”
More information is currently not available from Elon Musk’s project in the gaming industry. Recently, it was reported that xAI has raised $6 billion in funding, and some reports say that the artificial intelligence studio will be announced after receiving it.
Welcoming the former leader of the World of Warcraft team from Elon Musk’s studio
Former World of Warcraft team leader Mark Kern is among the people who welcomed the news. He mentioned in a live show that AA games have done better this year than AAA games (the difference being the size of the development team and the budget). Regarding the current state of the industry, he says the high costs, risks, and large teams making AAA games are inefficient and often lead to bad ideas. Meanwhile, smaller AA studios with budgets in the $40-$70 million range make more money.
