Nebius is opening an artificial intelligence data center in Paris with an investment of one billion dollars

Nebius today announced the launch of a new data center in Paris; One of the first centers in Europe to offer NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core GPUs. The company, which is the European arm of the rebranded Google of Russia, or Yandex, is investing more than $1 billion to build artificial intelligence infrastructure across the European continent by mid-2025.

The Nabius data center in Finland currently provides AI developers with the latest high-performance computing, tools and services. “The addition of Nvidia’s H200 Tensor Core GPU cluster at one of our facilities, in Paris, is our next step in expanding Europe’s AI capacity as we look to transform Nebius into a leading global AI infrastructure company.”

The owner of Yandex officially left Russia almost two months ago, selling its shares to a Russian consortium. Nebius intends to build an infrastructure to meet the growing demand of artificial intelligence; This infrastructure is called “Technology for Technologists” or T2T. Nebius also promises to be one of the first to offer customers Nvidia’s legendary Blackwell platform in 2025.

The company apparently has big plans, as it has already signed the paperwork for two more data centers in undisclosed locations in Europe. It will also expand its existing data center in Mäntsälä, just north of Helsinki, Finland.

The company still mostly employs former Yandex employees. With all these words, apparently, Nabios will also specialize in the field of artificial intelligence, and therefore it is expected that the competition between European and American companies in this field will heat up even more.
