Meta has added the voices of some celebrities to its AI chatbot on Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook.
Mark Zuckerberg announced at the Meta Connect event that users can now talk to Meta AI. Until now, it was only possible to talk to this company’s artificial intelligence through Ray-Ben Meta smart glasses.
Meta has also added the voices of some famous people. Among the people whose voices were used, we can mention “John Cena”, a former American wrestler, “Christian Bell”, an American actress and “Aquafina” an American singer.
This feature will initially only be available to US users of Meta apps.
Previously, OpenAI also added a voice to its chatbot that was similar to the voice of Scarlett Johansson, the famous actress and voice actress of the movie Her. This issue caused Johansson to complain. Given that Meta has directly mentioned the names of these famous people, it seems that some kind of contract has been signed between them. The Wall Street Journal previously reported that millions of dollars were paid to each of the celebrities for the use of their voices.
Image understanding and editing with meta artificial intelligence
Meta’s AI updates aren’t just limited to voice conversations, and the company’s chatbot can now also answer questions about your photos. In fact, you can send it a photo and ask the AI about various photo topics.
Zuckerberg also says that you can “add, change or remove” objects in images simply with text commands.
New meta AI capabilities thanks to the model Llama 3.2 These companies are provided. The new model is the first to have vision capabilities, and it can “bridge the gap between vision and language by extracting the details of an image, understanding the scene and constructing a sentence or two that can be used as a story,” according to Zuckerberg.
Meta says Llama 3.2 is “competitive” in “image recognition and a wide range of visual perception tasks” compared to ChatGPT and Claude.
