Google announced its Gemini artificial intelligence at its I/O 2023 event, and now, according to a report published today, its launch has been pushed back to January.
Apparently, Google CEO Sundar Pichai has decided to delay the launch of Gemini because Google has realized that the AI does not provide reliable answers to some non-English questions.
Pichai recently said that Google is focusing on releasing Gemini 1.0 as soon as possible. But now it seems that Google is still finalizing the initial version of Gemini.
Google said at I/O that Gemini will offer impressive multi-modal capabilities not seen in previous models. Google plans to make Gemini an attractive platform for third-party developers.
It is not yet clear whether Gemini will be integrated into Google services such as Bard, Search and Workspace.
