A private company with the aim of collecting space debris has signed a contract with NASA and plans to do this through special bags.
According to Tekna technology and technology news service, Hadid’s technology of Trans Astra company is a kind of space garbage bag that is able to collect pieces of garbage that are in the earth’s orbit.
Space debris in Earth’s orbit consists of man-made objects that are inefficiently orbiting the Earth. In fact, these wastes are a kind of indication of human activity in space, which are abandoned in different stages of missions.
According to NASA’s report in 2011, these wastes have increased exponentially and are now on the border of crisis. A space logistics startup under a contract with NASA plans to collect these waste pieces by inventing a kind of space garbage bag. These bags will be inflated after being placed in the earth’s orbit and will perform the task of collection.
Of course, it should be noted that this mission is not a space mission and the company in question must perform this test through inflatable bases on the ground. This is the second time that Trans Astra has been contracted to use inflatable collection bags.
