Scientists’ new theory of gravity can challenge Einstein’s and Newton’s theories.
According to Tekna technology and technology news service, recently one of the professors of Sejong University in South Korea presented a new theory about gravity. According to the definition of gravity, it is the same force that maintains the orbital motion of the planets around the earth and causes objects to be pulled towards the earth.
The first scientific understanding of gravity was given by Newton. After two centuries of this theory, by presenting the theory of general relativity, Einstein was able to answer the questions related to the theory of gravity and somehow fill its gaps. Of course, according to Einstein’s theory, gravity inside the black hole or gravitational waves cannot be explained. The new research was conducted by Kyu Hyun-shi from Korea on the orbital behavior of some cosmic structures such as extended binary stars.
The data used in this study was related to the European Space Agency’s Gaia space telescope. New and different concepts were mentioned in the new theory.
In addition to Newton’s theory of gravity, Einstein also expressed the theory of general relativity. In this theory, gravity is referred to as the curvature of space and time, and according to it, mass and energy are united in a cosmic dance.
In his research, Shi examined about 26,500 stars in an extended binary system at a distance of 650 light years. He noticed that these two stars in the systems are rotating around each other in relatively distant orbits. In this study, it was found that these binary systems at low speeds have accelerations of about 30 to 40% higher than the old predictions, which indicates the failure of standard gravity.
