China unveiled the world’s largest wind turbine near the country’s east coast. This turbine with a height of 152 meters, as the largest wind turbine in the world, will be able to supply energy to 36 thousand houses in one year.
According to Tekna technology and technology news service, China unveiled the world’s largest wind turbine with the aim of using renewable energy. Three companies including CSSC Haizhuang participated in this collaboration. The installation location of this turbine is 33 km from the coast of Fujian in the southeast region of China.
This structure has blades 252 meters long and they are supposed to move in a space of 50,000 square meters. For comparison, it can be said that this space is equal to 7 football fields. According to the manufacturers, this turbine is capable of producing 34.2 kilowatt hours of energy per revolution.
Level 7 winds blow in the area where this structure is installed. Therefore, in this area, the wind speed reaches 51 km/h most of the time. The amount of energy produced by this turbine in a year is 66 gigawatt hours of electricity, which is produced without any carbon pollution. By using Ibn Turbin, 20 thousand tons of coal fuel and 54 thousand tons of carbon production will be avoided.
