According to the Mehr news agency, citing the University of Tehran, based on the results of an international study published in the prestigious journal (Irrigation and Drainage), the official journal of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage, Iran has been ranked second in the world in the development of irrigation and drainage science in the period from 2010 to 2020.
In this evaluation, Iran ranked second in the world by publishing 215 scientific research articles, after China and above the countries of India and America, and the researchers of the University of Tehran contributed significantly to this honor by publishing more than 62 articles.
This research, which examined 1,517 articles published in the journal Irrigation and Drainage over the past 15 years, announced that Iran’s share of the total science output of this journal was 14.2%. The effective presence of Iranian researchers, especially Tehran University, in the official publication of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) with a history of 73 years, is a clear testimony to the scientific and research position of Iran and Tehran University in the world arena.
Based on this international evaluation, Tehran University has been recognized as the second best research institute in the world in the journal “Irrigation and Drainage” by publishing 62 articles.
