The research team of Tarbiat Modarres University has been able to discover, namate and register a new species of fish belonging to the Silginidae family of the Persian Gulf, according to the . The name of this species was registered in the Zoobank Data Bank in honor of its discovery from the Persian Gulf Coast, called ‘Persica’. It was previously in a peer group, by performing accurate geometric evaluation tests on the pebble bones (OToliths) and the body form, the examination of the swimming bag and analysis of genetic sequence results was discovered and described using species range models.
This international achievement is published in the prestigious magazine Zookeys and is kept in Hlotip’s aquatic collection of Tarbiat Modarres University with access code (TAC1245F).
