Between Mars and the customer, there is a huge ring of spacecraft, according to . Known as an asteroid belt, the area is about 1.5 million asteroids more than one kilometer in diameter and makes most of the solar system rocks.
The belt, which is the boundary between the more internal rocky planets of the solar system and its exterior gas planets, is as old as the solar system itself. The asteroid belt consists of materials that existed during the early period of the formation of the sun.
The customer has the most impact on the asteroid belt among all the planets. Because of its large size, the planet often pulls large rocks out of the asteroid belt. This is, of course, the only effect. The gravitational attraction of the customer pulls the other huge rocks around the asteroid belt.
According to a new study, this effect gradually crushes the asteroids of the belt. As these cliffs collide, they are divided into smaller pieces. As a result, the asteroid belt is likely to be completely eliminated.
The new study, published in ARXIV, shows that the asteroid belt loses about 2.5 percent of its volume every million years.
Researchers, led by Julio Fernandez of the University of the Republic of Uruguay, focused on part of an active asteroid belt. The term refers to a part of the belt whose asteroids are so small that they participate in repeated collisions and dynamic launch.
According to the calculations of Fernandez and his colleagues, the Asteroid Belt has lost about one -third of its volume over the past 1.5 billion years. This group of researchers estimates that 5 % of asteroids escape to the internal part of the Solar System. On the other hand, the other 2 percent become wise and become cosmic dust. This dust then enters the zodiacal cloud, a dense cloud of dust that orbits the solar system around the sun.
Researchers, however, acknowledge that the death of the sun in about five billion years will lead to the loss of the asteroid belt before its complete destruction. The reason is that the rate of belt masses slows down over time, as less collisions occur as the number of stones decreases.
However, these findings are of great importance, as they provide a view of the asteroid’s exit from the asteroid belt. These asteroids may eventually move to Earth, so these data are of great importance for planetary defense.
