According to Mehr reporter, Dr. Mustafa Deh Pahlvan, in a conversation with Tehran University TV channel, referring to the problems that lichens have created for the Persepolis complex, said: We will continue to have lichens until we can solve the critical factors.
He emphasized: To protect the collections that are a global register, global experiences should be used. Also, we did not use the biological experience that is the essence of our cultural heritage.
Saying that subsidence is a threat to civilization, a member of the academic staff of the Faculty of Archeology of Tehran University said: “The ground is sinking 180 cm in some parts of the country.” This important factor threatens Persepolis, Rostam’s role, the world’s role and many historical sites. Sinkholes and subsidence are one of the factors that threaten our historical monuments, and its cause is the excessive consumption of water.
