NASA plans to conduct studies on volunteers by placing them in an environment similar to Mars during a study mission. 4 volunteers including an Iranian scientist are present in this mission.
According to Tekna technology and technology news service, according to NASA, four members of this mission have been selected and the simulated mission of Mars is supposed to start its work in the beginning of February. 4 volunteers are experts in their work and are going to spend 45 days in isolation in a special habitat. In this way, the conditions of Mars will be simulated. Among these four volunteers, an Iranian scientist named Kamak Ebadi is also present.
According to NASA, the start of this mission is on January 26 at the HERA facility at NASA's Johnson Space Center. This facility has an area of about 60 square meters and the purpose of its design was to simulate isolation and living conditions in a remote environment.
Kamek Ebadi, born in Iran and a NASA scientist, immigrated to America in 2010. This expert now works as a robotics team of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in NASA and is also in the management team of the Mars Endurance Probe. Also, Ebadi has collaborated in NASA's Artemis program and the return of samples from Mars. The mission, without leaving Earth, will help scientists test the adaptation of crew members to the isolation and working conditions of future space missions.
