NASA announced in the meeting that the launch date of Psyche is October 12.
According to Tekna’s technology and technology news service, NASA and SpaceX have chosen October 12 to launch the Psyche mission with the help of the Falcon Heavy rocket. This rocket will be launched from the Kennedy Space Center.
Until then, NASA and the mission team will have time to do more research on parts such as the control of the cold nitrogen gas fuel on the spacecraft. This fuel can be used to guide the vehicle in order to direct the spacecraft and manage its movement.
Also, in the remaining time until the launch, some other parameters such as the operation of the thrusters in the temperature range can also be examined. Ensuring the proper functioning of this part in the long term is essential, and its verification activities can include re-running simulators as well as checking fine-tuning according to parameters and other flight procedures.
NASA along with SpaceX and Psyche mission team leaders met at the Kennedy Space Center on September 28. In this meeting, the necessary preparations for the final launch preparation activities were reviewed and approved.
