Remote Work for Foreign Employer (Remote Work)
International students can work for a foreign employer from within Canada, provided:
Employer has no financial, physical or operational relationship with Canada
Services not provided to Canadian customers
Pay salaries through Canadian institutions
This type of work is not subject to a 2 -hour limit and does not require a work permit.
Holidays and full -time work
Students can work on planned holidays such as summer holidays, winter or weekly study week.
Conditions:
Be a full -time student before and after the holidays
Holidays at least 2 consecutive days
A maximum of 2 full -time working days in a year.
One -day holiday like Canada’s Day is not a planned holiday except during the official holiday.
Authorized Academic leave (Authorized Leave)
International students under certain conditions can take academic leave, but they are not allowed to work inside or outside the university during this time.
Conditions of leave:
Authorized items include:
University closure or strike
Change of the Educational Institute
Postponing
Pregnancy, health problems, or the death of family members
